  5. Yes indeed, your wonderful bottles of wine absolutely breathe. Wine breathes through the cork and in the process will age. Temperature changes, and humididty in particular can greatly accelerate the aging process. Making sure that your wine does not oxidate too much is extremely important as it will cause your wine to bitter. Oxidation is necessary for your wine to mature... but make sure the oxidation is regulated to make sure to adverse conditions do not affefct aging and the quality of your wine. Wine breathes faster at higher temperatures and more slowly at colder temperatures. In sum, nothing harms your wine investment than extreme temperatures and enormous temperature fluctuations.
